After buying a rotavator last year (see review) and getting great help from the owner - pleasant chap and family, bought the topper this year. I've used it about 5 times and highly recommend it. Its well made and solid and does a great job.

Just finished my 3rd cut of 8 acres of paddocks, this topper is really good, I've had a couple before but the build on this one seems superior to me, the rear steer wheel also make it very easy to turn the tractor at each end and irons out the bumps. Went for the model with the slip clutch, more expensive but worth it.

Danelander lent me a hay bob while waiting for my new gyro rake to arrive. While the hay bob works well and fast, it tends to tear into the turf and to break tines on a regular basis. Switching to the gyro rake for the second cut of the season took a bit of adjustment as each machine works very differently. I soon became a convert as the gyro rake spreads, turns and rows-up the hay beautifully, and doesn’t leave pieces of broken tines in the field. It is also smaller and much easier to store.

I have had a star bailer and wrapper for three yrs now.Approx1800 bails . I have bailed and wrapped some very wet marginal grass.Mainly why I am here today is to let people know that I run my bailer on. 180 horse Massey ferguson tractor (6480 chipped) ,run tractor on a 540 spline but have tractor in 1000 ie get 540 on tick over taking pressure of shear bolt which only breaks if hit a lump!! I was sceptical when read that bailer goes on small&large Tractors, but I now know it's true !

I use the gyro rake with a small B2710 26hp Kubota tractor on my 10-acre wildflower meadow. The rake seems well suited to my meadow and it copes well with land that is bumpy, and swath which varies quite a lot in density.
There is something very appealing about using the rake: it is well built, does a good job of handling the hay, and as a bonus is relaxing and enjoyable to use. It also easy to manoeuvre and can be stored vertically in a small space. Highly recommended.

All the hay and silage making could not have happened without Steve from Danelander, who has been a great help throughout, delivered it all himself, and has provided advice on phone practically 24/7, with spares, filters shear bolts etc all sent quickly. I would highly recommend Danelander.
